INTRODUCTORY Mediation Skills Training
(32 hours)

An intensive course that teaches NCRC’s classic six stage facilitative mediation process through a series of lectures, interactive exercises, and participatory simulations.

Week Two: August 14 - 18, 2012
ADVANCED Mediation Skills Training
(28 hours)

This interactive course builds on skills learned in the Introductory Mediation Skills Training with new techniques, strategies and supervised one-on-one skills development. 

• Refine your understanding of NCRC mediation process
• Modify the NCRC approach to work with you and your style
• Learn how to mediate with people who have high conflict personalities
• Reflect on strategies for managing psychological, emotional & ethical impasse
• Become skilled at reading people in your mediation: an advanced approach to understanding body language*
• Develop your strategy for helping people negotiate over money issues
• Gain new skills for mediating complex cases, including legal disputes*

* Presented by expert guest lecturers

• Find out how to market your mediation practice - internally or externally - presented by marketing professionals
• Receive EXCELLENT individual feedback and coaching from professional mediators
