Faculty Bios
Luca Dal Pubel, MA 2011 NCRC ADR Specialist & Accredited Mediator at Ministry of Justice, Italy – Tutor of the Summer School, University of Rimini.
Mr. Dal Pubel received his Laurea (Doctor of Law) from the University of Bologna. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding at California State University-Dominguez Hills. In addition, Mr. Dal Pubel has given lectures in ADR, Conflict Resolution and Comparative Law at San Diego State University, San Diego City College, John Hopkins University, an assortment of Italian Universities, as well as for Italian bar associations. Mr. Dal Pubel collaborates with the Trento University School of Law on research projects. He has worked as an ADR Specialist with NCRC since 2004 and been proactive in developing programs throughout Italy and Europe. He is an accredited mediator for Resolutia through the Ministry of Justice in Italy.
Prof. Allen Greb, PhD SDSU ISCOR Professor & Advisor
Since 2002, Prof. Greb has been the undergraduate advisor and coordinator of the International Security and Conflict Resolution (ISCOR) Program at San Diego State University. He also teaches courses for the Program and for the Political Science department. Prior to coming to SDSU, he served as the American coordinator of the international Nuclear History Program, with US headquarters at the University of Maryland and offices in Britain, France, and Germany.
Prof. Lisa Maxwell, M.A., Director, NCRC Training Institute & SDSU ISCOR Professor - Ms. Maxwell has been a mediator since 1985 and is currently the Director of the Training Institute for the National Conflict Resolution Center. She has extensive experience working with large groups, business issues, interpersonal disputes, and complex issues. She has designed and implemented courses in English and Spanish locally and internationally. She has taught an ADR course in the ISCOR program at San Diego State University since 2000. She also teaches at Southwestern College and Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
Ashley Virtue, Director of External Relations -
Ashley has been with NCRC since 2005. Ashley is a trained mediator, coach and workshop trainer for the organization. She has been instrumental in the development and promotion of a cutting-edge conflict resolution program for workplace managers and Human Resources professionals, known nationally as "the Exchange". Ms. Virtue is an active member of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and represents NCRC in a multitude of different business development groups. She has a degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution from San Diego State University. During her time as a student she studied abroad on both the Semester at Sea program, through the University of Virginia and she went to the University of Tubingen, Germany from 2003-2004.
Maurizio Di Rocco, Esq. , Lawyer & Accredited ADR Trainer Ministry of Justice, Italy - Mr. Di Rocco received his Laurea (Doctor of Law) from the University of Padua, Italy and has been practicing law for 10 years. Since 2000 he has been a charter member and Vice President of Resolutia mediation firm. He is an accredited mediator and ADR Trainer through the Ministry of Justice in Italy . Mr. Rocco has an active mediation practice in Venice and frequently provides mediation training for attorneys and Chambers of Commerce throughout Italy.
Prof. Nicola Soldati, Professor of Corporate Law, University of Bolognia, Rimini - Prof. Soldati received his Laurea (Doctor of Law) from the University of Modena, Italy and has been practicing law for 13 years. He is a Professor of Commercial Law; Bankruptcy Law; International Commercial Law; Commercial Law – Corporate Governance at the University of Bologna. He is an accredited mediator and ADR Trainer through the Ministry of Justice in Italy. Prof. Soldati has an active mediation practice in Modena and frequently provides mediation training for attorneys and Chambers of Commerce throughout Italy.
A. Marco Turk, Esq. is Professor and Program Director of Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding at California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), where he has been a strong innovative advocate for community partnerships with organizations such as NCRC. He holds a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Washington (Seattle) and a JD cum laude from Southwestern University School of Law.
In October 2003, Professor Turk participated as one of only two Americans invited to attend the Oxford University international workshop on "Getting to Yes" regarding efforts to reunify Cyprus. In October 2009, he was one of 50 selected attendees at the International Crisis Group Global Briefing in Brussels, Belgium concerning the world’s high conflict areas.
