Developed in 1993, the curriculum of NCRC’s Mediator Credential reflects the best national research available on mediator standards as well as the collective experience of NCRC as an internationally respected training center and service provider. Mediator Credentialing is a three-step process. To receive the Mediator Credential, you must have mediation training, actual mediation experience, and demonstrated competency in conducting the mediation process.

Training Required
You must enroll in the credentialing program within two years of completing an approved 32-hour course.
Enrollment Periods and Duration of Program
Qualified applicants are enrolled quarterly in classes of five candidates at a time. Once enrolled in the program, you are expected to complete the experiential and evaluation components within six to twelve months.
Standard Credentialing Program: $3,500
You must receive a recommendation from NCRC training course instructors following Introductory Mediation Skills Training before being accepted into the standard credentialing program.
Experience and evaluation components of the curriculum are provided over a six-to-twelve-month period after you are accepted into the credentialing program.
Customized Credentialing Program: Cost negotiated individually
If you have received training elsewhere (not through the NCRC Training Institute) and/or have prior actual mediation experience, an individualized credentialing program will be designed for you. Curriculum is customized to ensure that you are prepared with sufficient training and experience for the final performance evaluation.
Other Fees:
$50 nonrefundable application fee. Applied to tuition if accepted into program.
$50 administrative fee if candidate elects payment plan.
Special fees for customized aspects by prior arrangement with NCRC Training Institute.
All tuition fees are nonrefundable.
