Arthur and Molli Wagner
Former UCSD faculty member, Arthur Wagner, and his wife Molli have been longtime supporters of worthwhile causes for many years. Their philanthropic focuses range from supporting education, the arts, and social improvement. In 1972 Dr. Wagner founded UCSD’s Department of Theatre and Dance. Additionally, the Arthur Wagner Endowed Chair in acting was established in 1989. UCSD is also privileged to have the spectacular Molli and Arthur Wagner Dance Building on its campus.
Dr. and Mrs. Wagner support diverse organizations ranging from the La Jolla Playhouse, Oceanids UCSD, ACLU and the Foundation for Change. In 2003 the couple also named the Michelle Wagner Center at Planned Parenthood, in memory of their daughter.
In 2000, the couple moved back to San Diego after having lived in San Francisco for ten years. The Wagner’s dedicate their lives to art, philanthropy, and traveling. Their upcoming travel plans include a summer vacation to Provence, France and a December cruise from Dubai to Singapore.
Molli and Arthur also have a son, Wayne, daughter-in-law, Mary, and granddaughter, Kendra.
