You may opt for mediation through the Superior Court’s General Civil Mediation program even if your case is pending in Superior Court. |
Superior Court judges select general civil cases that are in litigation and refer them to mediation. Cases deal with a broad range of civil issues. The Superior Court maintains a list of mediators who meet its mediation training and experience requirements. The disputing parties select a mediator from the Court’s list, which includes NCRC’s Superior Court mediators.
If the parties choose an NCRC mediator from the Superior Court’s list, the hourly rate for the first two hours is the reduced rate of $150. Additional time is charged at the specific mediator's hourly rate. More than 30 experienced and skilled mediators, representing a wide variety of professional backgrounds, serve on our Superior Court General Civil Mediation Panel.
Our Superior Court General Civil Mediation program is designed to provide a time efficient, cost effective, convenient, and confidential forum for the informal resolution of civil cases from the San Diego Superior Courts.
Mediators have received over 50 hours of training and have been mediating for a minimum of one year.
